Monday is 'Missing Paris Day'~Doorway Series

During some of my travels, I 've been known to take Door and Window Series photographs and this is from a little French town, the name of which I have forgotten. This door makes me think of all the things I am missing about France: Foie Gras followed by the taste of Sauterne, champagne before dinner, escargot, open-air markets, the rushing sound of the metro, boats on the Seine, old cobblestones.

And Family! Missing all of you!

Happy Lundi!

paris, no france, no paris, is my achilles heel and any talk of it takes my brain into meltdown and actually hurt a little bit.
i would kill for a noisette and a pain au raisin in one of the 6th's best...

  5. First, let me tell you that I love this image. Second, I love your words. I long for a wonderful front door. My home has a nondescript normal front door. I long for one that whispers a welcome. One that is enticing and memory making. A front door that makes you think of books like Secret Garden.

  6. Relyn~ That was one of my favorite books when I was young. I think you should start your own doorway series collection until you find just the one you want! A door hunt!
