Monday is 'Missing Paris Day'~Cafe Le Lutetia

(photograph copyright: Kirsten Steen)

Time again for photos of Paris. After having a house full of French-Americans for the last 2 weeks, I am once again missing Paris. This photo is the cafe mentioned in an earlier post, sitting on a corner of the Ile St. Louis, just down the rue from the one-time home of Camille Claudel (a future post). It's a place we often stop for a chocolat chaud or un kir (my favorite drink of white wine with a splash of cassis) and watch the river and the tourists flow by. For a view of the Seine from a nearby bridge, click here.

Hope everyone had a fabulous summer and looking forward to catching up on my blog reading!

Travelin' Tuesday~ Santorini

(Photograph copyright: Kirsten Steen)

How I love that 'Mediterranean' (or Aegean) blue! I've been seeing it on new cars lately and I have to say, even there it makes me happy every time I see it. If you'd like to see photos of similiar fashion (nearly every day), get on over to Oiasantorini for your daily fix of the island's colors, textures and the writer's inspirational stories.

Off to San Francisco again this week. Two visits in one month! I must have been good somewhere along the way. Will return with pictures.

Until then, enjoy the last of summer!

Monday is 'Missing Paris Day'~ Our Lady of Paris

(photograph copyright: Kirsten Steen)

Across from Le Petit Pont sits the infamous Notre Dame, one of France's first Gothic cathedrals begun in 1163 and finally completed in 1345. From my little writing spot at the cafe I can see the tourists and Parisians alike adoring the cathedral just like me. Through centuries of vandalism, alterations and restorations, she has weathered time to remain one of the most famous beauties in history. May she always grace us!

Have been on a little vacation this past week and happy to be back among blogging friends and catch up on what I've missed. It's a treasure to be so accepted.

Happy Monday everybody!
