Nurture selfless thoughts~ Buddhist Thought for the Day

"We are formed and molded by our thoughts. Those whose minds are shaped by selfless thoughts give joy when they speak or act. Joy follows them like a shadow that never leaves them."
-- Buddha

I've been creating my own little Japanese garden space and the more I add to it, the more joy it inspires. Yes, a little messy, off balance, not quite like the prototypes...but that's because it's made by me. Some might easily recognize these traits. All I know is when I sit on the boulder just across the patio and stare at it, I find myself in a meditative state with a smile. And joy.

Today, nurture selfless and joyous thoughts. Who doesn't want joy shadowing them?!
