Love Life~ Buddhist Thought for the Day

"Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions."
~The Dalai Lama

I always come back to the phrase, "The Power is in the present moment."
Reflecting on this over the years,
sometimes I understand it and sometimes I don't.
But I think it is about choice,
our own choices being the only ones that can make us happy... or not.
In each given moment.

Not always an easy task, holding and pocketing the present moment,
making it shiny with our worn fingertips,
but always...leading us to our future
and pointing to our destiny.

  1. I love the message to "live in the moment" and marvel how difficult for me to do. I think of the message and marvel at those around me that are not only not living in the moment they are not even living where they are.....they are on their cell someplace else.....how do we get back to where we are..and then live there???? See what I do? Pay attention to what others are doing.

  2. Good morning dear Kirsten!

Most definitely true. Happiness can be a temporary state of being or a continuous feast. It is our choice, isn't it?

Much love to you as we countdown the days to Christmas! Anita
