We booked our tickets to Paris for the holidays!
So excited to be there at such a beautiful time of the year.
And to spend time with family.
Some of my favorite things:
*Cafes all dressed up for the holidays
*Decorations on every store front
*The joy of being in our 15th Arrondissement neighborhood
*The sounds of the language from every direction
*Choir singing at Notre Dame
*Colorful sweet things calling from patisserie windows
*The oyster vendor on the corner playing sounds of the ocean
*Cheeses of all shapes and varieties in the Fromagerie windows
*Mont d'Or *Escargot!
*Champagne before dinner
*Poilane's decorative window scenes made out of bread crust
*Our Grenelle outdoor market under the metro
*The Christmas tree our concierge puts in the entryway
*Department store window displays
*New Year's Eve with ma soeur
*Shiny, glittery Paris!

Have a wonderful time with your sister. Take dozens of photos and I especially like ones of the Alexander III bridge and the bouquinistes and the oyster seller on the corner. Can't wait to see the pics - it will make me think I am there!

She is sleeping atop my clean clothes basket right now, but I don't care. Seems I was so overwhelmed before her surgery, I didn't ask what to expect afterward. Holding her paws to keep her from scratching her eyes out for the past two days and a few Xanax for me; I think we've gotten over the hump.
