Paris Market Tarts and Spring Flowers

Missing these gorgeous tarts from our
Grenelle Open Air  Market in Paris.

In fact, I'm missing just about everything about spring and Paris right now.
I am flat on my back with a disc issue and nerve pain
and scrolling/strolling through the many photos of
spring in Paris on Instagram.
Everybody is posting stunning and tantalizing photos
of blooms in luscious colors all over Paris.

If you're on Instagram and interested in seeing them,
here is a list of a few of the Paris photogs I follow:

 a parisian moment
paris mon amour
wonderlust paris
vivre paris
girls guide to paris
paris online
a perfect day in paris
herve in paris
lily paris

Each of these, even if a few days back,
has some dazzling spring flower shots to share.
You can also follow me on Instagram: @ steen.kirsten
Guess I should share a Paris spring shot here too.
Here's one with a little spring color in the background...

Hope you are enjoying spring wherever you are!

  1. You are such a dear to come and visit. Thank you so much for your kind words on my last two posts.
I am so sorry you are having a dic issue and are flat on your back. I will keep you in my prayers..
I have been so bad about blogging as of late. And next week I have a little surgery on my other eye ( cataracts) so will be off again for a bit.

Take care of yourself. Hope you recover soon.
    blessings,
    Penny

  2. Oh, it's so strange, I saw your post come up on my reading page and was thinking of you, and then I got a comment from you. Oh my, look at these tarts from the market in Paris. They look scrumptious. I'm so sorry to hear about the disc pain you're going through right now. I do hope you feel better, Kirsten, and wishing you happy Spring days ahead.

  3. Kirsten, I wondered what was wrong with you. I've got the disc thing too and when it inflames or whatever it does, I can do nothing the pain is so great. In fact, I keep Flexeril, a muscle relaxant and pain meds just in case the back goes out. Last time, a couple of months ago, I tried a heating pad, and it helped. Doctor told me to do heat then cold. I went to the back specialist who told me nothing was wrong. I had been traumatized as a child and had become a victim (the old Kaiser Permanente study). Jeez. I had just gone for a shot and was so shocked I forgot to bring it up. Later, I wanted to say, how come it started when I was 130 pounds and forty. I won't be going back to him. I just try not to lift things bigger than myself anymore - but there is always something to move. Take care. I loved the Paris picture.

  4. Oh Kirsten, I'm so sorry to hear about your back. That's simply miserable any time of year but certainly at spring. I'm glad you've been doing some armchair traveling (and going through your photos, too, because the two you shared are just beautiful!).

I was so delighted to see your comment come through on Marmelade Gypsy (yes, Lizzie Cosette is indeed a sweet purring marshmallow!). I love it when you come by.

Do take care. It's nice to see your post.

  7. Donna, so sorry about your back too! I am a little worried about the future as I hear good stories and not-so-good stories. I'll keep the stash of muscle relaxants in mind! And be good about PT exercises. Hope yours stays healthy! Xoxo to you!
